Big Boy Aabel and Mama Betty Enjoy Clear Sky

Aabel is such a handsome buck, he is also a sweetie.

It's a joy to have his company.

The sky is cool, blue and clear, mama Betty and Aabel are enjoying the wonderful weather.

Even though it's a quarantine life, we still have to find something to be grateful about.

Hachiya Persimmon Cake

Hachiya persimmons are beautiful hanging on the tree but don't try to eat them when picked from the tree.

The Hachiya fruits need to be put on the counter or in a container to wait for it to turn mushy and almost transparent.   You can then eat them or ...

.... you can make it into pulp for making pastries.

Add three eggs and cake mix or flower with sugar and baking powder, ...

...go through the cake making process, and bake, ...

A pan of delicious plain persimmons cake is ready to eat.

Evans Has a Round Body

Evans is a handsome boy.   He achieved the Grand Champion status with a tough competition from Aabel.

It takes extra effort to keep bucks in coat, and without shows for months to come, it seems to make sense to do some haircuts.    Evans becomes the candidate for a cut down.

English Angora is treasured for being round and smooth.  Under that heavy coat, Evans sure has a nice smooth round body.

Hat Time

Without shows and with lots of miscellaneous
wool from the rabbits, I got into making hats after hats.

With the leftover dyed yarn from the past, the natural color yarn are combined with dyed "warm" color yarn to make some colorful hats.

These are more of the "cold" dyed color with natural color hats.
