All the bragging from our white cousins, how about us?   I'm the cutie boy.

Bro is right, how abut us torts?  I'm a very cute tort girl.

I follow my big brother and sister, I think I'm very cute too.

How Do You Like Us Now?

We are itty bitty newborn babies.

We are cute but we don't have much fluff.

We are fluffing up!

How do you like us now?  We are really fluffy and wooly, we now look totally like the English Angora.

Designing Angora Yarn

Normally the Angora yarn is either natural color or dyed.    A light bulb moment: why not combine the two?  This ball of Angora yarn is made of white and blue.    Blue wool is dyed then dried.   When spinning the yarn, take a handful of white wool and spin then take a handful of dyed blue wool and spin.

Here is white with variety of pink/red.    When knitted, the white and red/pink will self stripe.

White and green.    In rabbit terms, white combined with another color is called "broken", can we call this yarn "broken green"?

Dyed Purple/lavender wool goes really well with fawn/tort wool to make this yarn combo.

Purple, Purple, Purple

Purple Artichoke flower is stunning.

Purple lavender flowers are attractive.

Inspired by the natural purple flowers, Betty dyes Angora wool purple to make mittens and bought a ball of purple commercial yarn for the cuffs.

Purple Angora yarn and purple commercial yarn are in harmony.   It's more desirable to use the commercial yarn for the edges because Angora does not have memory.    If stretched, Angora yarn does not bounce back thus the cuff would lose integrity.  Most of the commercial yarn have elasticity to bounce back after being stretched.

Cheetos Cowl

Sandra got a skein orange Angora yarn from me at WCC Reno.   I received a message from her,
"Made this for my friend who went crazy over the color.  I kept thinking of extra crispy Cheetos while knitting this."

Sandra has good imagination, here is the Cheetos, they do look alike!
