Eric and His Parents

Eric is one of the most well-respected judges, and he is the Executive Director of ARBA.  We all know him, love him and see him in shows all over the country.   Very few had met his parents, it's a treat to meeting them at Harrisburg on Sunday Oct. 20.   Mom Pam and dad Tim are very proud of Eric but they had not been to a rabbit since Eric learned how to drive, and that's LONG time ago.

Eric has two younger brothers who are 1 year and 2 years younger than he but we still yet to meet either of them.

Mom and dad stayed for another day and got the chance to watch Eric being voted in to judge the open Best In Show on Monday, Oct. 21.

Jack and Janet are in the National Angora RBC booth, it's the first day of the convention, some of the wool/skein/garment entries are in the booth but others are yet to come in.

Margaret and Karin are looking at Karin's tablet computer at the booth.

A few days have passed, judging are done, the blue carriers are the prizes for the BOB and the red carriers the prizes for the BOS; some have been picked up while some are waiting for pickup.  Inside the carriers are the trophies for the winners.   The white Angora-like object on top of a red carrier is a needle felt rabbit.

Betty's Photo on Good Morning America

While at the ARBA convention in Harrisburg, there was an announcement that Betty's photo with English Angora was on Good Morning America on Monday October 21.    Everyone including Betty thought it must be the footages from the convention though none was aware of any reporter from ABC being in the convention.

It turned out that it was a coincidence that ABC had a segment called POP News that day that featured Angora rabbits and Betty was the only human among the rabbits.    The photo used is related to an ARBA convention except that it was not the 2013 convention; the photo was taken in the 2004 convention in Providence RI by a professional photographer.

Any positive publicity is good for our hobby, so here is the photo used by GMA of Betty with her two junior does Chu's Malenia on the left and Chu's Ashka on the right.
