Proud Grandma Carol W.

Proud grandma Carol W. says,

"Here is my latest news. Natalie Grace came a week early, so I had to change my flight to Denver to be there when she came home. My son, his wife, and baby are all doing well. I am now back home and Laura is visiting. Henry will go later this month.

My other daughter-in-law designed the announcements - she's a very talented graphic artist. The footprints in the upper left corner are Natalie's from her birth record. The drums represent one of Darin's passions (beside Jess and Natalie). Now to set up our web cam so we can watch Natalie grow..."

Marcia E. of Oregon went to Monroe, WA for the benefit show last weekend and won big. Her beautiful English Angora black doe took all breed Best In Show.

This is Marcia's first all breed Best In Show. The same rabbit has won Reserve In Show twice, the first time when it was still a junior. The first Best In Show is always the sweetest, hope there will be many more to come.

Congratulations, Marcia. Thank you Susie for supplying these photos and information.

Pearl says, "May I join you?"

Mama Lori says, "Look at the camera."

Pete says, "I like this pose, maybe we'll use it for this year's Christmas card."

Pearl and Chloe are Pete and Lori's pride and joy. They jumped through a lot of hurdles to receive these two little angels. Lori detailed their journeys in her two completed blogs:

and she maintains an on-going blog on both:

These blogs have a lot of fans and followers; Lori's photography is professional grade.

Chris O's Big Tree Day

Chris O and hubby live in a 200+ year old house in MA. There are lots of big trees on their 40+ acre property.

This double-trunk tree on left has to come down. Large limbs that fell on roof of bunny barn last December in ice storm damaged roof and now the rest of the garage and house is in danger.

Can you see the tree monkey in the tree? Lower limbs have already been lobbed off.

Where's Walther?

A scale photo. Chris's hubby Llyod on left, Walther on right.

Lloyd and Rich Walther, the tree climber, no lift. A dying art. Thank goodness for the gentle giant. Now bunnies are safe

All that's left of 100 ft. monster

Bunnies are safe in their little barn. Lots of sawdust everywhere.

Bunny Close-ups

Taking bunny close-up pictures does not mean taking the camera next to the bunny. Most of the cameras have close-up settings either by changing the function from normal to macro or to use zoom-in. Usually the zoom-in feature does not take close-up pictures as clear as the macro setting.

Here are some bunny close-ups. The top two pictures are the same choc tort rabbit but due to the difference in the sunlight, the rabbit appears to have different colors. The lighting will make a big difference in the final photo.
