An eCard from Elsia's Baby

Received an eCard from Cathy and Kim, reporting that bunnies from Elsia are all doing great. They are one week old now.

Also received news from Ohio that Elsia's littermate sister Chu's Eldaline also gave birth a week ago to six healthy and fat bunnies. They are all doing fine as well. Another sister Chu's Emma is expecting.

The "E" family is growing.

Randy and Joe

Randy is the vice president of the American Rabbit Breeders Association. He is also one of the very top judges in the country. He has been voted to pick Best In Show or Best of Group in conventions more frequently than any other judge in the last ten years. Needless to say, he is also one of our favorite judges locally.

On the left of the photo is Joe. Joe won the Best in Show in the 2003 convention in Wichita with his famous Tan. Joe is interested in being a registrar. On the day of the Red Bluff shows, he worked under Randy. Joe is well known for his competitiveness. He did not, however, have any rabbits on the show table that day. His focus was to work for his registrar's license.

It is rumored that Joe is Betty's son. Anyone see any resemblance there?

Baby News from Cathy and Kim

Cathy and Kim send good news: A litter of five healthy bunnies were born on December 29 to Chu's Elsia and All Creatures Tingalayo. Elsia is a chocolate tort doe that Cathy and Kim got from Betty in November. Ting is their home bred tort buck. The first photo from the top shows Elsia in full coat in October when she won the NCAG specialty Best In Show. In the second photo, new dad Ting is goofing around. A bunny photo was taken the day the five bunnies were born, surrounded by Elsia's wool. Another photo was taken of two of the bunnies at one day old. All five bunnies look like tort at this point.

Interestingly enough, Elsia's mother, grandmother and an aunt were all born on December 29, four years apart of each other. Elsia is carrying on the family tradition of having bunnies on December 29 and being an excellent mother, just like her mother, grandmother and aunt.

Needless to say that Cathy and Kim are very excited. They are going to post additional pictures of the bunnies regularly on http://homepage.mac.com/akidscastle/Allcreatures/PhotoAlbum29.html

Scott from Oregon

It's great to see Scott again. We said goodbye to him at the airport after the convention, and now he is in the Red Bluff shows. In the top photo, he is judging Satin Angora with Tracy taking down comments. In the second photo, he is judging Mini Rex. He did a great job in both. Hope to see him more often in the CA shows.
