Show E Best In Show Judging at San Jose

Show E Best In Show judge is Chris Zemny.

This is the last Best In Show judging of the weekend.

The BOB Britannia Petite has its attitude.

The Britannia Petite showing off.

The Tan as a running breed runs up and down the table.

Judge Chris has favored the English Angora white senior doe in the breeding judging so having the colored on her Best In Show table is highly disadvantaged.

French Angora being examined.

Judge Chris picks Lillian Bearden's Mini Rex as the Best In Show.   This is Lillian's first ever Best In Show win.

Alysia's Britannia Petite is the Reserve In Show winner.

This post concludes the reports and photos of the San Jose weekend on April 6-7,2024.

Show D Best In Show Judging at San Jose

Show D Best In Show judge is Stephany Brundage.

The BOB English Angora is on the back table.

BOB French Angora being examined.

The BOB English Angora is the white doe, but Stephany had picked the colored doe.  Though the two does are close call of each other, it's still not the best case scenario when it comes to competing for Best In Show.

Reserve In Show is Beth Nelson's Tan.

Santa Clara Fair Manager Salene at San Jose

We are very fortunate to have Salene Durate at the Santa Clara Fair.  When she was a youth, she showed at the fair, so did her husband when he was a youth.  They missed all the animals at the Santa Clara Fair in the 80s.  After she became a part of the fair management, she works hard to get the animals shows back to the fair.      The two-day show on April 6-7 was her baby, she was there the entire weekend to make sure everything worked well.  She made the decision to open up the huge Expo Hall for the show in order to avoid the loud music from the festival near the Fiesta Hall.  Here is Salene visiting Betty and holding Raelynne who was the Best In Show winner in show A and show B.
