Found on the Net: Bathroom Signs

A tourist posted these photos in an Asian newspaper, the photos were signs on restroom doors in Thailand.  One is supposed to be a ladies room and their other for gentlemen.   The ladies room sign was easy to understand, a person in a dress and holding a flower.  The other one is a person holding a rabbit!  Why?  The tourist asked a local, was told that it's customery for a female to say "I am going to pick a flower" when going to use the restroom while a man would say, "I am going to catch a rabbit".

True or untrue, don't know.

Four Babies in Three Litters

There are colored babies! White too.

There are three babies in their bed.

No, there are four babies.   Would you believe that you are looking at three different litters?  Aada has a white baby, Augustina has a white and a colored baby then Jasmin has one colored baby.   Augustina is the nursing mom for all four, she treats all four equally as if they were all her own.

Lots of Buns at the Doll Show at Cupertino

The Cherry Blossom Festival was held at Cupertino during the weekend.   In conjuntion with the festival, there is a Kimekomi Doll Exhibit.   Look at the rabbit dolls, so many, so cute, ...

Cupertino is Shyun Duh's hometown.  She and family enjoy the festival; being a rabbit lover, it's even more enjoyable to see so many rabbit dolls.    She was a bit disappointed that all the rabbit dolls are for exhibit only, none for sale.   The class master explains that each exhibitor takes classes and each doll takes months to complete, it's their labor of love.  None is willing to part with their creation.

Guess what Shyun find at the exhibit!   Our Carolyn's Kimekomi rabbit dolls.

Here's is another rabbit doll by a Carolyn, but not our Carolyn.

We thank Shyun for these great photos.

Duck Family Visit Carol

For those of us who are lucky enough to attend Carol's summer shows in June every year, we remember Carol's huge well-maintained backyard and the beautiful pool.   Do you see something different?

It's a family of ducks and ducklings.   The interesting thing is that the family has two male ducks and one female plus the babies.   The two males fighting for the mama duck? The two males share the ducklings? Or one full grown son who would not leave his parents?   Wish the ducks can talk to tell their stories.

The ducklings are enjoying a swim in Carol's swimming pool.

Mama duck joins in to make sure the babies are good.   There is a board and steps for the babies to get out of the pool.

Coincidently, Carol had purchased ducklings the day before, maybe the Mallard duck family sense that Carol likes ducks and decide to pay a visit.
