NCAG Specialty English Angora Judging

On Saturday, there is one open show and one specialty show.   NCAG specialty show has 39 Angoras and the judge is Penny Jackson from Michigan.  Judge Jackson started her rabbit hobby as a youth exhibitor, then went out of rabbits when she graduated from high school.   Many years later when her children were old enough and started showing interest in rabbits, she went back to showing and eventually became a judge.   Many of our judges came up from youth exhibitors.

The first of the English Angora to be judged are the white senior bucks.

This is the second place white senior doe.

California State Convention at Merced

California State Convention show room scenes at Merced on Saturday-Sunday, February 26-27, 2022.   Merced is an open barn.  There are good points of having the extra ventilation especially during the double virus pandemic.  There are also dangers looming having a two-day show in an open barn.  Will discuss later.

Angora old ladies are having fun. From left to right are Pattee, Casey, Betty, Carol and Carolyn.   There are a few younger wool exhibitors as well but they are so busy doing youth contests during the show.   Old ladies enjoy talking about old days and show experiences.

Another scene of the showroom from the Angora area.
