Carol G.'s Fuzzy Wins All Breed Best In Show

Many are busy getting ready to go to the ARBA convention. There are still shows being held in several locations in California. In the north, Sonoma-Marin Rabbit Association held the doubld fall shows in conjunction with the Harvest Festival.

Mother and Daughter Judges

Valerie and Michelle are both ARBA judges, they are also mother and daughter. How many mother - daughter judges do we know? Not that many. They live in Spokane, WA area; judge all over the northwest.

The top photo is Valerie with English Angora Chu's Monty, taken in Monterey when Valerie came to CA to visit. Monty did very well in shows; he won his class three out of four times during that weekend and then went on to win the Best Opposite Sex on Saturday and the Best of Breed on Sunday in the WA State Convention.

The second and third photos are Valerie and Michelle judging together in a recent show.

Valerie will have a booth at the ARBA convention in Grand Rapids; her business is "Champion Ribbons". For those who are going to the convention, make sure to stop by and say hello to Valerie and Michelle.

Casey's Yarns and Her Pretty White Doe

Casey is showing off her very pretty young white doe. The three sisters are developing very well; Casey is carrying one in her arms.

Casey has a very nice display of her yarns shown in the second photo. The third photo is a close up of the yarns.

Amy wins Reserve In Show

Our ME member Amy sends in good news. Her English Angora colored senior buck took Reserve In Show at the Fryeburg fair in Maine.

The young lady next to her is 19-year-old Aala who won Best In Show with her New Zealand.

Allen is A Judge!

At noon today, Allen officially received his ARBA judge's license.

Congratulations, Allen. We are looking forward to your judging, you will be one of the best.

Birthday Boy

Ed, Judge Melissa's other half, celebrated his 42nd birthday in the RPSCV shows on Saturday. No one believes that Ed is 42, he looks like a teenager!

The day prior, Ed and Melissa also celebrated their eleventh wedding anniversary.

Congratulations, Ed and Melissa.

Happy 46th Anniversary

Carnahan's Mfg. has been around for as long as anyone can remember. Like a lot of rabbit breeders, Larry and Judy started in rabbits as 4-H parents. They made some small items for sale in shows when their son and daughter went to the shows some 30 years ago. Due to their excellent workmanship, demand for their products was so strong that making rabbit equipment and providing rabbit supplies became their full time business.

Derek was more active in rabbits, won all Best In Show regularly with his Tan; he became a judge when he was still a teenager. He had judged many specialty shows for our club Northern California Angora Guild. Derek retired his judge's license and now he is a father of two.

On Saturday, RPSCV presented Larry and Judy a surprise gift. It's the 46th wedding anniversary for Larry and Judy on September 30.

We wish them a happy anniversary and many more years of happiness to come.

Sister Act - English Angora BOB

In the Rabbit Producers of Santa Clara Valley shows on Saturday, littermate sisters Carrie (left) and Sevenah (right) each won a Best of Breed in the double shows.

Sibling rivalry is on again.
