Bill's New Legs

Maureen does dog rescue work.

Bill was a 10 weeks old Bouvier when Maureen took him, and he just kept growing to his present size of 105 pounds. Bill has hip dysplasia and repaired ACL's and he needs to see an acupuncturist nearly every week. (See photo #4).

Recently Bill developed a vertebrae problem making him unable to walk. Life became very difficult for both Maureen and Bill but she does not have the heart to put Bill to sleep. Maureen even hurt her back trying to move Bill's 105-pound body around. Maureen decided to order a custom made doggie wheel chair for Bill at a price of close to $600. The wheel chair arrived yesterday. Maureen says, "They move effortlessly and Bill seems to like them. He isn't a super energetic dog so our walks aren't long, just enough for him to get out and have a change of scenery."

We are all animal lovers, but very few will go as far as Maureen has done.

Bill is lucky to have Maureen as his mama.
