Alicia's French Angora Wins Four Class
Alicia and mom Deb drove to Iowa for a weekend of rabbit show. In the first show of the Cedar Rapids RBA all breed show, Alicia's doe 7-Pines Jamille took Best 4-Class. Jamille's sister that BIS two weeks ago but this time it's Jamille's turn to shine. The photo above is Alicia with judge Mark F. For those in the west coast who are not familiar with the term "Best 4-Class", it means the best lightweight rabbit, one of the two finalists for the Best In Show title. The heavyweight winner is called the "Best 6-Class" because in addition to the four classes of senior buck, senior doe, junior buck, junior doe, there are intermediate buck and intermediate doe. In lightweight rabbits, senior is defined as 6 months or older while in the heavyweight rabbits, senior is defined as 8 months or older. The intermediate class is also called the 6/8 class as the age requirement is between 6 and 8 months old. |
