Show C English Angora Judging at San Jose




Show C judge for Angoras is Doug King.

The BOB English Angora goes to the colored senior doe.  

Because the English, French and Satin Angoras were on two judges’ tables at the same time, I wasn’t able to photograph the French and Satin Angoras being judged.

Show B English Angora Judging at San Jose



Show B starts after lunch.   Our judge is Nate Burbidge from Utah.
An English Angora colored senior buck is being evaluated.



Another one of the big bucks to be taken from the judging coop.



The two brothers are very similar, judge Nate takes another look.

Here is the first place English Angora colored senior buck and also the BOSB.



After going through the English Angora colored senior doe class, the first place is on judge Nate's
 table.

The break between show A and show B took quite a while.   Show B and show C have Angoras on two tables.  As a result, I was not able to take pictures of the judging of French and Satin Angoras.

Learning about Satin Angora at San Jose





Timmy Willy comes all the way from Southern California to attend the two-day shows at San Jose.   Timmy has recently started raising the Satin Angora.

 

Casey's Satin Angora are beautiful, Timmy asks to feel them and learn about them.



Timmy is feeling the body of the Satin Angora chestnut senior doe that won BOB twice out of the three shows on Saturday.




On the grooming table is the Satin Angora white senior doe that won Reserve In Show at Vallejo in January, she won BOB in one of the three shows on Saturday.



Casey is an excellent teacher on Satin Angora.

Pretty Maddie Pretty Aurelia at San Jose





After show A, there's a long break for lunch before show B and show C.  Maddie Beckwith comes by to visit.   Who is Maddie?  She is the very able Livestock Assistant at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds.    She is the designer of the pretty show catalog for the March 22-23, 2025 show weekend.

 

Maddie likes animals, naturally, she comes by to take photos of our Angoras.



Pretty Aurelia would like to have picture taken with pretty Maddie.

Show A French Angora Judging at San Jose



Judge Jordan is evaluating the two French Angora colored senior bucks.



There are three beautiful French Angora colored junior dies, this black doe is one of the three.   Even though she took 3rd in the class, she could easily be a big winner at any other show.   Casey helps to record the placings. 




The fawn doe cannot wait to get out of the judging coop to be recognized.




The second place colored senior doe is the dawn doe.  



Judge Jordan evaluates the chestnut French Angora doe.




The chestnut doe wins the title of  BOB French Angora.

Show A English Angora Judging at San Jose

Show A Satin Angora Judging at San Jose





The first Angora breed goes onto the judging table on Saturday morning is the Satin Angora.



Casey has all the paperwork in hand for the show to start.



Show A judge for Angoras is Jordan Miner.   Jordan came up from youth showing, we practically witness his growing up and going through the process of becoming a dual license judge for both rabbit and cavy.    He has matured into a fine judge who is in demand nationally.   
On the table is a handsome Satin Angora white junior buck.



The Satin Angora white senior doe is the BOV.



The colored junior buck is on the table.



The first place colored senior doe, also the BOV.



A very nice colored junior doe that is coming up soon.



The white junior buck is the BOSB.

 

The Satin Angora BOB goes to the chestnut senior doe.
