Show E French Angora Judging at San Jose on Sunday

French Angoras being judged by Stephany.  Carol helps to clerk, Carolyn watches.

On the table is a colored senior doe.

Another colored senior doe.

This colored junior doe invites a discussion. In the 1980s and early 1990s, this color is called Wild Gray.  It’s a sub category of chestnut, or a chestnut with a darkening modifier.  The name was eliminated in the mid 1990s.

Judge Stephany looks into the wool to see the darkening effect.

A bit of discussion between Stephany and Carolyn.
The BOB goes to a colored senior doe shown by Betty, no photo taken during judging.
