West Coast Classic Shows at Grand Sierra

From April 20 to April 22, the west coast rabbit enthusiasts are gathering at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV for the annual West Coast Classic shows.   

There are over 400 exhibitors and 8 thousand entries in the three-day event.  More than 20 judges are flying in from different states all over the country and exhibitors are driving in from many states to attend the major event of the year.

Angora will be shown 6 times in 3 specialty shows and 3 all breed shows.

Our blog will take a break for two days when all of us are having a good time at the resort.  Photos and reports of this event will be posted starting on Monday morning.  

A Hat with Earflaps

Betty says, "I love to make hats and I sell a lot of beanie type hats.   In a show recently a young lady went back and forth looking at the hats that I had available.   Eventually she asked whether I could make one with earflaps and selected the yarn from my skeins.    I have never made one but accepted the order.   After looking at some instructions on line, I was able to make one that works.  This is the front of the hat with earflaps."
