Show A Best In Show is Carol Green's American Fuzzy Lop.
Show B Best In Show is Betty Chu's English Angora.

Show A Reserve In Show is the Mini Satin shown by Lauralee Erbe and Randy Shumaker (not shown).

Moody Blue Wins Show A Best In Show at Alameda Fair

Show A Best In Show at the Alameda Fair is Carol Green's American Fuzzy Lop named Moody Blues.

We have seen Moody Blue won open Best In Show many times in the past.

She likes her Best In Show prize.

The Best In Show prize is a very soft blanket with graphics.  The color of this blanket is a light lavendar.

The graphic on this soft blanket shows a rabbit looking at the Ferris Wheel.  County Fairs are known for having interesting rides.    For us rabbit lovers, we would rather be in a rabbit showroom than on a Ferris Wheel.   Moody Blue agrees with the choice.

Showroom Scenes at the Alameda County Fair Double Open Shows

Alameda County Fair has a long tradition of having open and youth rabbit shows.  In the past, the rabbits were required to be cooped and stayed for several days and nights.

Starting in 2025, rabbits were no longer required to stay at the building unless the owner wishes to offer their rabbits for sale.

Since it's no longer required to stay at the fair, the show has become much more popular.  In 2025 there were two judges but in 2026 there are 4 judges to handle 740 entries with 370 rabbits physically present in the showroom.

The showroom is quite crowded.   Those of us who show our rabbits in the one-day show are sharing the showroom with many other small animals in coops.   What are the other "Little Critters" (see the second photo)?

Silkie chickens and parakeets.

A closer look at the Silkie chickens.  They are the "Angoras" of the chickens, pretty and elegant.

Pigeons.

More parakeets.

Fishes.

And.... Snakes!
