Show B French Angora Judging at Monterey

After listening to the informative RHDV2 talk during lunch break, show B starts.   Allen Mesick is our show B judge and judge Kate helps with writing.

All the French Angora on the table are colored.   This is the colored senior buck.

Here is a colored junior buck.

Another colored junior buck.  Judge Allen checks on the texture.

Judge Allen checks the nails of one of the colored junior does.   Another one can't wait to join the judging.

Now it's the turn of that bigger colored junior doe.

Judge Allen compares the winners of the colored senior doe and the colored junior doe for the BOV.

Checking the colored senior doe with the junior doe waiting.

Senior doe waiting, checking the junior doe again.

Side by side comparison.  Carolyn and her grandson Kyle watch intensively.

Judge Allen picks the senior doe as BOV and BOB.     If you wonders why it takes judge Allen so many times goes back and forth on these two does, well, actually they are littermates.   The senior doe is Simone who is still a junior by age but her weight is in the senior range, thus she has been "bumped up".    In some breeds, the juniors are allowed to compete in the senior classes but not the other way around.  When a junior is shown in the senior class, it's called a "bump up".     In show A, junior doe Monique won over her sister to get BOB but in show B, Simone gets the BOB.
