RHDV2 Information Presentation at Monterey

During the lunch break at the CRCS show in Monterey, Dr. Chris Hayhow gives a talk about the RHD2 virus.  Dr. Hayhow has a PhD in Virology and he also holds a DVM.   Rusty Westoff facilitates the questions.
FYI: Dr. Hayhow is a candidate for the ARBA president in the upcoming election and Rusty is the current ARBA vice president and he is also a candidate for the second term.

Allen live streams Dr. Hayhow's presentation on the facebook:

The most important recommendation is to practice bio security, keep all equipment and barn clean and separate those rabbits going to shows and staying at home.    Imported vaccine is an option, the effective rate is 6-18 months; the vaccine is yet to be accepted by the US government but currently some states can import it due to the outbreak.     There is no cure if a rabbit gets the virus, the kill rate is 50-90 %.

The show is totally stopped so that we could attend the talk.

Monterey temperature is in the 60s, it's very comfortable to sitting outside under the sun.

Here is another group of people listening to the talk.
