My Little Barn, 38 Years Apart

My small barn was built in early 1982, this picture was taken not long after it was built.  As you could see there were five French Lops in the 8 cages.   When hubby asked whether this small barn would be enough for my rabbit habit, my answer, "Of course, more than enough, why would I want to have that many rabbits?"  As any rabbit people would tell you, that's a wrong answer.     I had yet to see an English Angora in early 1982; having a few French Lop was just for fun.   We had moved into this property only for 4 years, planted this little tree before the barn was built.   There were pine trees in our front yard but itty bitty, invisible in this picture.

The barn has an awning that also served as a cover at night.

Fast forward to 38 years later, the trees are tall, 40 feet? 50 feet? 60 feet?  The barn is now totally shaded.

View from the side, the hose on the right is the mister that is connected to the water supply.

The original 8 cages were replaced a year ago,  see https://ncag.blogspot.com/2019/06/new-cages-from-randalls-ranch.html      The new cages were purchased from Randells’s.
