After over 4 months of shutdown and show cancellations, it's so wonderful and gratifying that CRCS is putting on shows. Thank you, Randy and the crew.

People are excited but nervous, setting up in groups that are normally together.

Rabbit people love to keep in touch, real time FB posting?

The rest trying to keep a distance from each other. The Monterey Fair barn is suitable for shows during the summer and to some degree during the pandemic as the temperature is usually in the 60s and the barn is totally open on all four sides, there's lot of space and ventilation.

There is barn for equipment storage next to the show barn. I arrived early enough to find a spot away from the rest and even got my van parked inside.
I keep some of my rabbits inside my van for safety and convenience.

The three French Angora are on my roller as they are scheduled to be the third breed on the table, before the English Angora. Carolyn also set up in the equipment barn behind my van, and Stephanie set up a bit away from Carolyn. On the far right is a small cavy show in progress. |
Four of my English Angora juniors are set up behind the equipment storage, far from other rabbits. Socializing is one of the high points of rabbit shows, but due to the COVID and RHD2 viruses, we'd have to forgo the socializing part just to be able to attend a show safely. How did the show go? How did the English Angora and French Angora fare in the competition? Stay tuned.
