The photos show the black gene: B
 |
This is a black English Angora young junior doe. The color is quite dark and face black. The color genes are aaB-C-D-E-. It's a non-agouti pattern, with black gene, full color, dense color and the color extended to the entire body.

The same doe that is an older junior around 5 months old. The lengthening of the wool makes the black color more of a dark gray than black. The face remains black.

Same doe that is now a senior, the wool color is lightened to gray. Even though the wool color is lighter, it is still considered as a "dense" color with the D gene, evidenced by the face color that is still black. |
