California State Fair - Part 2 Small Animals

The small animals program at the California State Fair is "Fur and Feathers".  The animals included are listed on the sign.  If you wish to read it in larger prints, click this image.

"Fur and Feathers" is a term used in UK, all the rabbit competition are combined with poultry and other fowls.

Rabbits are in the display cages.  Judging from the condition, these cages probably have a long history at the fair.

"Meat Pen" or "Doe and Litters" classes usually have more than one rabbit in each coop.

A Lop in Harlequin color?   Not sure whether this is an accepted color in the Lop Color Guide.

Flemish?
There isn't any Angora in the show.

2017 is the Year of the Rooster.   On the lower left side, the 12 Chinese Zodiac animals are listed: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Ram, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Hog.

A human size chicken statue.

A sign welcome fair goers coming into the chicken area.

Here is a majestic looking real rooster.

And cute baby chicks.

It's not exactly a chicken but satisfies the "feather" part of "Fur and Feathers".
