Wool/Skein/Garment Contest at the 2016 ARBA Convention

Angora rabbits are not only great pets, great show animals but also valuable in their ability to provide the most luxurious wool for fiber projects.   The NARBC installs a Wool/Skein/Garment contest at the convention for the rabbit breeders/exhibitors and also fiber artists to show off their creations.

Altogether there are 101 entries: 38 wool, 34 skeins and 29 garments.   If you click the photo, it'll give you a larger view to see the placements of each category.

Here is the winners' circle, the group winners of each category.

The overall best wool goes to the clip French Angora wool by Betty Chu.

The overall best skein goes to Angora blend skein by Candy Haenszel.   This skein also is the overall Best In Show in the W/S/G contest.

The overall best garment goes to cottage blend Angora shawl by Tammy Vaughn.

Overall judge's choice is the tiny bunnies made by Caylie Voudren.
