Combining Different Kinds of Wool in Spinning Yarn







Lots of spinners like to blend Angora with fiber from other kind of animals but that is not the only kind of using different kind of wool in the same skein of yarn.  In this skein, portions of the yarn are spun of tort Angora and portions are Merino sheep wool.   Both Angora and Merino are very soft, they are very compatible in the feel of the finished yarn.  

Here is a close-up of the yarn; the plying material is one strand of beige thread and one strand of gold metallic thread.
