In Japan, an African Grey parrot got lost after flying out of its cage. It was rescued by police and sent to a veterinary hospital.
"I'm Mr. Yosuke Nakamura," the bird told the veterinarian, according to the local policeman Uemura. The parrot recited his full home address down to the street number. See a video on CBS http://www.cbsnews.com/sections/i_video/main500251.shtml?id=4118114n&channel=i_video
The bird was returned to the address given; the Nakamura family told police they had been teaching the bird its name and address for about two years.
This is one smart bird.
