Remember When: Very Unusual Prizes

Here is me holding this piece of Angora art in 1990.

It's me again holding the other side of this woven art.  The photos were taken in June 1990 at Ventura, CA.   What went on in June 1990 at Ventura? 

It's a rabbit show, of course!   This is the winner rabbit Chu's Star Jasmine wearing her "crown". 

Star Jasmine is no longer with us but her "crown" is still in my collection.   It's a banger bracelet made of solid silver with a real turquoise.   The double-sided Angora woven art is unusual already, this piece of jewelry as a prize in a rabbit show was a first and so far the last.   What kind of show was it?  stay tuned.
