Open Best In Show Judging at ARBA Convention at Louisville

The Best In Show judge at the ARBA convention was broadcasted live, a wonderful service to those who are not able to be present.  

The four judges that are voted in to judge Group are:
Group 1 Glen Carr, OH
Group 2 Ryan Harrah, IN
Group 3 Bruce Omsby, IN
Group 4 Scott Rodriguez, CO

French Angora is on the Group 4 table being examined by Scott.   Out of the 4 breeds of Angoras, 3 are in Group 4: French Angora, Satin Angora and Giant Angora.   English Angora is in Group 3.

Judge Scott announces that the French Angora is the Group 4 winner.  

The Group 1 winner is the Britannia Petit.    

The Group 2 winner is the Polish.  The judge who received the highest vote is Mike Avesing of Iowa who picks the Best In Show.

The Group 3 winner is the Holland Lop.  

The Group 4 winner is the French Angora.  

The Open Best In Show is Eric’s French Angora.   This is the first time that a French Angora winning the open Best In Show in the ARBA convention history.   The youth Best In Show is also a French Angora but at this time no information is available to post.   It is also the first time that a French Angora wins the youth Best In Show.  It's such an achievement for the same breed to win both Open and Youth Best In Show in the same convention.

  The English Angora has won open Best In Show three times and youth Best In Show four times.  Giant Angora and Satin Angora have yet to make it to the top.
