Best of the Best and Best Fur/Wool Competition at King City
Central Coast Rabbit Club has an ad offering cash prize for Best of Best In Show, Best of the Best Fur, Best In Show and Reserve In Show. It's not a common practice in rabbit shows to offer cash prize. Normally it's trophy, a rosette, a chair, a blanket, a bag, … It looks very exciting.
In show A, Betty's English Angora won Best In Show, in show B, Betty's French Angora won Best In Show. This is very unusual for two Angoras each to win a Best In Show out of the two shows. Mama Betty is happy!
After the show B Best In Show is done, it's time to do Best of Best Fur, on the table are these six or seven Best Breed Fur winners plus the two Angoras that are not shown in this picture. Allen Mesick and Louis Potter are the judges, shown in the picture is Allen.
The two judges' choice is Betty's English Angora.
The last judging of the day is the "Best of Best In Show" or short "Best of the Best". Gathering the Best In Show rabbits from Friday night all breed show and specialty shows, Saturday two open shows and two youth shows, judges Mike Avesing of IA and David Cardinal of Wisconsin along with judge's assist Alan Rafferty make their choice. And the winner is Betty's French Angora.
Betty's English Angora and French Angora basically won the entire enchilada! It's a wonderful and unusual day. Is mama Betty getting rich from the cash prizes? Unfortunately the answer is NO. The ad specifies that there is a minimum of 2000 entries required, but there isn't 2000 entries thus no cash prize. Still it's a great day!
