Betty, thank you for sharing Spellbinder's photo! For a long time, she was just another cute little black doe. When she reached six months, I realized I had something special on my hands. Her wool has a very deep crimp that runs the entire length of the strand. This keeps her from webbing or matting, and she is very easy to keep groomed. I am also convinced that she is a reincarnation of a Labrador retriever, because she likes to play with her water bottle. She gets her face soaking wet! ;-)
I want to mention that our friend Deb Butorac won Best of Breed and Best Opposite Sex with littermates, in one of the Cedar Rapids RBA all-breed clubs that weekend at Amana. My friends Jamie and Craig Hacker won BOB in the other all-breed show.
