The West Coast Classic event started in 2009, the Best of Best perpetual trophy was added in 2012 with the previous winners' names engraved and future winners' names to be added.  At the current time, there have been 7 Best of Best winners.

In 2011, Betty's English Angora Lucianna won the Best of Best.

In 2013, Eric's French Angora Dreamsicle won the Best of Best.

In 2015, Carol's American Fuzzy Lop Kenya won the Best of Best.

There are 48 breeds accepted in the ARBA Standard of Perfection, 6 are wool breeds: English Angora, French Angora, Giant Angora, Satin Angora, American Fuzzy Lop and Jersey Wooly.    The wool breeds have been doing very well in the competition.  Number wise, 6 wool breeds out of 48 is less than 13% but the Best of Best winning by wool breeds is 3 out of 7, 43%.
