Cleaning Day At Menn's Farm

Dominique sprays while Elsa scrubs. (They take turns on who gets to do what.)

Elsa prefers cleaning the rabbit cages rather than cleaning the chicken coop.

Climbing is much more fun than cleaning rabbit cages and chicken coops!

Gabrielle says,

"Here are some pictures from Friday afternoon. Since there was no show on Saturday to groom for, the girls got to work cleaning cages. The weather was nice, and supposed to rain the next day. Dominique sprays while Elsa scrubs. (They take turns on who gets to do what.)

Curt and I recently put together a chicken coop and yard, from all recycled materials! The girls sell the eggs from their chickens to help pay for their rabbit show entry fees. Time to clean the coop for the first time! Elsa wears the new gardening gloves that the neighbor gifted her. Since the chickens have always free-ranged at the farm, the girls never had clean-up duty before. Elsa prefers cleaning the rabbit cages rather than cleaning the chicken coop. (Because the trays are too heavy for the girls to lift, I dump the trays for them, so they only have to spray and scrub.)

While the rest of us are cleaning, Tyler decides to ditch his scrub brush and shoes in order to climb the 8' high "no-climb" fence. Climbing is much more fun than cleaning rabbit cages and chicken coops!
