Wool Harvest of Gretchen, A Black German Angora
German Angora is not an accepted breed of Angora under ARBA; the German Angora has its own club called International Association of German Angora Rabbit Breeders (IAGARB). The only color recognized used to be just REW only; about a year or so ago, colored German Angora was accepted into the IAGARB.
Lindsay purchased a black German Angora for wool purpose, she name the rabbit Gretchen. The top two pictures show Gretchen in full coat and the last picture shows Gretchen after her wool was harvested. Lindsay says, "Here are some before and after photos of shearing my black German Angora Gretchen. I think that she felt a lot cooler, but I got the impression that she was really embarrassed...."
