Assist Bart and Wife from Thailand
For those who are working to become an ARBA judge, they have to be an ARBA member for at least 3 years, then pass the oral and written test to become an ARBA registrar. To become an ARBA registrar, they have to work on 4 assists and register a minimum number of rabbits to qualify for the next step. After 2 years, they will have to pass the oral and written test then work on 8 assists.
For us who live in a good climate area, we have shows almost every month. It's not the case in states that are too cold in winter or too hot in the summer, they are not able to host rabbit shows every month. We have seen the judge-candidates travel to California to work on their assists.
Now that rabbit shows are becoming very popular in other countries especially in Asia, we now see more judge-candidates flying to California to work on their assists. Even though the weather is general good enough to have shows regularly, the fact that they have to hire licensed ARBA judges from the US makes show-hosting very expensive thus not as many sanctioned shows are held overseas.
With this background information, we now understand why we are seeing two judge-candidates coming from Asia in the recent two months. In February we saw Alex Ong who now has received his license #1074. Today we are featuring Mr. Bart Wuttichai from Thailand.
