Remember When: Broken French Angora and the Presenter Carol Kerris

In the mid to late 1980s, there was a flurry of new breed and new variety presentations.   As we know the Satin Angora and the Giant Angora were accepted during that period of time.    Carol Kerris started the project of broken French Angora and got it accepted in 1993, she was successful in all the presentations.   Here is a photo of Carol Kerris taken in 1994.  I was present during the 1993 presentation at the ARBA Convention at Tacoma, WA.    Unfortunately I did not have a camera with me then.

This is Carol Kerris's all time favorite: "2 Fat Pat", he did all three presentations.  This photo was taken at his 13 year-old birthday.  Yes, 13 years old, can you believe that?

Here is a newspaper write up on Carol Kerris.

The following three rabbits were a part of the 1993 presentation lineup.  Some of the names were:
Bettie Bop, Bunny Nose and Seattle.

Old girl Twinbrook's Bettie Boop who did the presentation in 1993 was still competitive in 1997, won the BOSV at the ARBA convention at Madison, WI.
