Food, Rides and Animals at the State Fair

Fried Articokes are Carolyn's favorite fair food, mine too, wish I were there to share her order. 

What's special about a burger booth?  Look as the "Smash Burger": It's a regular hamburger with Twinkies added.  That's very creative, or should we say it's kinda weird.

Funnel cakes are yummy!

California wines are world-known.

Winning a ribbon at the state fair adds prestige to the winery.

The Best In Show wine ribbon is what a wine maker dreams about all year long.

You can't go to any fair without seeing the merry-go-round.

And the horse-n-wagon.

If you wish to torture yourself, a high carnival ride is there for you. 

 

Livestock is always a big part of the state fair.

Cows stay around for the week, sometimes the owners even time the birth of calf during a fair.
