Betty Goes to Kittel Family Veterinary Practice

Some of my rabbits are due for the second year RHD vaccinations.  Unfortunately the clinics that we went to do not have any dates scheduled for the rest of 2022.  I could either look for a new veterinarian or go to Kittel Family Practice where Casey had gone to.   Kittel Family Practice is located in Elk Grove, CA that is 135 miles from my home.   Casey has good experience with the practice and the price is reasonable.  So I made the reservation and took the drive.   The entire trip including driving and waiting took almost 7 hours, basically the entire day.   For the welfare of my buns, it's worth it.  The current vaccine is Medgene, and since this is the first year Medgene is used, it'll take two shots to gain immunity.  In three weeks, I will be taking another trip for the booster.   In the future years, the buns will only need one shot each as the annual booster.

Betty takes 8 Angoras to the Kittel Family Vet for RHDV vaccination.

Jazabel comes out to help roll the rabbits into the examination room.

This is the inside of the practice.

This looks like Debbie McCormick's dog, except this is in clay.

This couple has their little Lionhead vaccinated.   The Lionhead came all the way from Canada.

The vaccination took more than an hour, so I took photos to use up some time.

A clay dog or an English Lop?  Not sure.

Finally the buns are ready to go home.  The practice is very thorough, it took more than an hour and even got comments on the rabbits' conditions.
