Teresa Visits Betty at Merced

Betty and Teresa are so excited to seeing each other again.

Teresa and Betty met in May when two kitties were caught at the Merced Fairgrounds and Teresa offered them for adoption.   Teresa is the CEO of the Merced Fairgrounds, in charge of EVERYTHING at the location.  When the groundskeeper showed up with two kitties, Teresa would have to either adopt them herself or find them a home.   Betty answered the call.

The two kitties were only 4 weeks old by guesstimate.   They appeared to be white but ....

... if the light hits the right direction, you can see the faint orange tabby markings on the tail and also there is a very faint orange on the forehead.

Their eyes were blue as all kittens start with blue eyes.

The eyes turned into yellowish green for a while as they got older.

They are for sure short hair with faint orange tabby marking tails and yellowish/orangish eyes.

Bei Bei on the left and Bao Bao on the right both have yellowish/orangish eyes now.

Do you agree these are pretty orange eyes?

This orange tabby tomcat (yes, he got his nuts)  was roaming around at the show barn at Merced when we were at the BVRA show.

It's a friendly cat so a rabbit exhibitor picked him up and I got a close up photo.   Does him look a bit like Bao Bao and Bei Bei?   Is it possible that this is their daddy?

Teresa had a great visit, then she's going back to her office to catch up some paperwork.  CEO works harder than her subordinates, got to work even on weekends.  And she will be looking into having the groundskeeper catching the tomcat and get him neutered so that there won't be as many kittens born at the fairgrounds.
