Charlene Visits at WCC

It's wonderful to see old friends.  Charlene was our NCAG president during the mid 1990s to early 2000s.   She was very active in showing and was in charge of the 1998 Angora National held at the Reno Livestock Center.

As life changes, Charlene eased out of rabbits and retired from her job at the casino.  She went back to school and just completed her master's degree specializing in plants.   The graduate study is for her own satisfaction, there is no plan of starting another career.  There is always something new that we can learn, Charlene is a good example of the love for knowledge.

Charlene says hi to the buns.  She was very active in showing French Angora and Satin Angora in the 1990s to 2000s.  She is also the first presenter of broken Satin Angora in 1994.

She is very happy to see the Angoras being recognized.   She learned of the French Angora winning the only open Best In Show on Saturday then after she went home, she also learned that the Satin Angora won the show C Best In Show on Sunday.

Hi and thanks Betty and Casey for letting me know you were in town. I'm so excited for the progress Angoras have made in body and coats. It was wonderful getting to see you both and enjoyed catching up with news.
