Casey’s Vaccination Trip

Casey is bringing her English Angora juniors to be vaccinated at the Kittel Family Veterinary Practice in Elk Grove.    The practice is now using the domestically produced vaccine by Medgene.   It requires two shots three weeks apart, this is Casey's second trip.   Those taken the second shot will gain full protection in 7 days.

These are the 7 English Angora juniors that we saw in yesterday's post.

In addition to the 7 English Angora juniors, Satin Angora big winner Deva is also included.  Deva was supposed to be boosted at Aptos in Febraury but she was off feed on that day so Casey decided not to take her.   Behind Deva is a cut down broken English Angora buck that came from Debbie in NC.  Since there was no RHD cases in NC, he was not vaccinated before coming to CA.

Due to COVID protocol, Casey is not allowed to go inside the practice.  A vet tech comes to carry all the rabbits inside for shots.

After shots, Casey waited with the rabbits in the parking lot for 15 minutes to make sure there's no adverse reaction.   Then she's on her way home.    We'll see these rabbits on the show table at Cal State show this coming weekend.
