WCC War of Wool Angora Judging

Scott is on the list to judge the "War of Wools" show.   How to judge a "War of Wools" show? Exhibitors asked and even the judge asked.   What exactly is the "War of Wools" show?   It's a hybrid of open and specialty show.    The ARBA sanction for this show is actually an open all breed show sanction.  The WCC catalog limits the breeds to the four breeds of Angoras, the American Fuzzy Lop, the Jersey Wooly and the Lionhead.  However since it is an open show sanction, in theory, any breed can enter.   Exhibitors are respectful of the show committee's intentions, so there is no other breed than the listed breed entered in the show.  There are 84 entries, judge Scott would judge each breed just like an all breed open show.   He picks a BOB in each breed then these BOBs compete for the Best In Show.   There was no Giant Angora shown, at the end of the show, 6 BOBs competed.

Judge Scott starts with white English Angora.

A beautiful colored English Angora on the table.

Another colored English Angora beauty.

After the English Angora, judge Scott moves to the Satin Angora.  Casey still helps on the table.

On judge Scott's table is a white Satin Angora doe.

The two colored Satin Angora junior does are very cute.

The next breed is the French Angora.   There are five juniors and one senior.

The French Angora juniors are very cute, but...

... it's hard not to give the BOB to the senior buck.
