Convention Memories: 1992 ARBA Convention Angora Numbers

At the 1992 convention, all four breeds of Angoras were represented.  The Result Book gave the numbers of entries and the numbers shown but not class rankings.    In English Angora there were 260 entered and 213 shown, a far better number than most of the numbers in recent conventions.   French Angora numbers were 133 entered and 112 shown, also better than in the recent years, Giant Angora 14 entered 12 shown, comparable to recent years, and for Satin Angora 51 entered 38 shown that is slightly better than the numbers in the recent conventions.    

Breed judge was Dr. Terry Reed.  Dr. Reed was the ARBA president for 3 terms from 1983 to 1989.  

The Best White was a junior doe shown by Glen and Janet Jackson.

In case you find Dr. Terry Reed's image familar, he created the Doc's Enhancer for Heinold Feed.   His image is still on some of the Heinold products.   He passed away in 1994.
