NARBC Rabbit of The Year Awards 2018-2019

National Angora Rabbit Breeders Club has a new competition: Rabbit of the Year.

At the ARBA convention in Reno, National Angora Rabbit Breeders Club gave out the "Rabbit of the Year" award.  There are four Angora breeds so there are four winners of the award.  In English Angora, Betty's tort doe BC5AQ is the winner.

Here is BC5AQ: Chu's Annisha.  She cumulated 974 points, four times of the second place winner.   In addition she has 7 all breed Best In Show, 6 all breed Reserve In Show and 2 specialty Best In Show; none of these additional wins are counted in the points.

In French Angora, Betty's chocolate agouti doe BCG1FT wins the "Rabbit of the Year".

Here is BCG1FT: BCG's Gifta.   Gifta cumulated 338 points to win French Angora Rabbit of the Year.   These points were cumulated in 3 months during September 2018 to December 2018 where she won 15 BOB.   Her career total is 40 BOB, 4 all breed Best In Show, 3 all breed Reserve In Show plus many specialty BIS and RIS between 2017 and 2018.   At the end of December 2018, she met her boyfriend and in January 2019 she became a mother.   Her daughter Indigo Girl has since won 3 all breed Best In Show and 2 all breed Reserve In Show in August and September 2019.
