Ebby Gets a Hair Cut

Ebby was "touched" by the participants of the judges conference on Friday night at the California State Convention, then he went on the table to be judged on Saturday and Sunday.

After show D, Betty sits down to harvest Ebby's wool.

Betty says, "I use a pair of scissors to cut his wool off,  just like people going to the beauty saloon to get a hair cut.   It's very easy, no pain no hassle.   In two to three months, Ebby will be ready to come back to shows."

"What are you doing, Betty?" "I am cutting Ebby's wool to make yarn."

"You are taking the wool off your rabbit?"   "Yes, you are very smart".

Betty spins Ebby's wool into a skein of yarn.

A few days later, the Ebby's yarn becomes Ebby's Scarf.

Angora rabbits are calm, loving, easy to handle.  They are wonderful show animals and pets.  Their wool is beautiful and luxurious, it takes 2-3 months of wool growth to make a beautiful scarf.
