Alien Bigóte Invades Monterey Fair

 What is this? Alien invasion?

At Monterey Fair, a strange looking creature is inside a dog crate.

His name is Bigóte, Spanish for mustache.

Bigóte is a rabbit, but he is not a cut down Angora.

This hairless state is Bigóte's normal look.

Here is Bigóte outside of his crate.

Now Bigóte looks like a rabbit, the structure is there, just hairless.

In blue denim shirt is Bigóte's mom Joyce who takes good care of him.   Joyce explains that a Rex and a Rhinelander had an accidental breeding that resulted in a litter with three hairless babies plus some normal fur babies.    Bigóte is the only survived hairless bun, and he is now 2 years old.   He needs to have lotion applied to his skin to keep moist; if Joyce has to go somewhere for an extended period of time, she would bring Bigóte with her so that he'll get his lotion.     According to Joyce, it is known that some Rex carry this recessive hairless gene but she did not expect that the Rhinelander also carry this recessive gene.   She has since placed the parents in two different pet homes so that they would not produce any accidental litters.
