Peanuts comic strips ran for nearly 50 years without interruption and appeared in more than 2,600 newspapers in 75 countries. There are TV programs, full-length movies, stage and ice shows, and stuff animals available all over the world. The creator Charles Schulz made Santa Rosa his home since 1969 until his passing in 2000. His influence is evident by the statues of his Peanuts character at the street corners or in parks.
