Happy Lunar New Year

Today is Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year.

We said goodbye to the "Year of the Dog" and today is the first day of the "Year of the Pig". Chinese horoscopes are represented by twelve animals that rotate in a cycle of twelve years. The order of appearance of these twelve animals is: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Ram, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig. Pig is at the end of the cycle.

Northern California Angora Guild wishes everyone a Happy Lunar New Year.

Special thanks to Alice who created these composite New Year photos.

    Betty,

Tell us about the significance of Year of the Pig. What if that is your birth sign?
