Casey's Angora Goat Babies

Casey is having good luck in having babies recently. Not only she has two litters of beautiful English Angora bunnies after a long drought, she also has Angora goat babies. Here are two photos of her most recent litter. One is obviously a white, the other one is interesting. If rabbit color terms were used, the black one could be called a Marten or an otter. These colors in rabbits are characterized with black, blue, chocolate or lilac color with white hairs sticking out at the underside. This little goat baby certainly has this look.

Fiber from Angora goats is called Mohair, though a lot of people mistaken them as the "Angora". As we all know, the only "Angora" wool is from our beloved Angora rabbits.

    Angora Rabbit wool = "Angora"
    Angora Goat wool = "Mohair"
    Why?

    Because goats have mo..hair!

Get it? Mo-hair...more..mo..more...ok, I'll go back to my corner now. ;)
